It happens to all of us. You’re trying to recite the members of Cleveland’s fast-rapping ensemble “Bone Thugs-n-Harmony” but can only remember three or four of their names.
“Krayzie Bone, Skull-n-Bones? Uh, Funny Bone?”
Argh! It’s on tip of your tongue! The human brain isn’t perfect, and sometimes critical info, such as creators of hits “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” and “Tha Crossroads” can slip through the cracks.
You’re bound to remember one or two, so don’t panic and think that you’re gonna miss everybody! Let’s do a rundown of the whole gang and see if we can’t refresh your Bone Thugs-n-Memory.
Layzie Bone - The laziest of all the thugs, Layzie can usually be found relaxing. His motto: “Never put off ‘til tomorrow what you can put of ‘til next week.”
Wish Bone - The most optimistic of the group Wish can always be found hoping for the future. Will his dreams come true?
Flesh-n-Bone - The member most in touch with his own mortality. Don’t expect him to produce miracles, he’s only Flesh-n-Bone!
Krayzie Bone - The wildcard of the bunch. He’s a bit wild, and Krayzie is always up to something well, crazy!
Bizzy Bone - This thug’s hectic schedule leaves almost no time for sleep. He never stops moving and is always rushing from one appointment to the next!
You would think a gang with such unique personalities would be tough to forget, but hey, it happens. If you find yourself struggling to rattle them off, end the embarrassment with this simple mnemonic:
“Ladies Want Four Kids By 30.”
At first glance it’s just the common sentiment that most women want four children by the age of thirty. Look again, notice something about that sentence? That’s right, the first letter of each word corresponds to a member of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony!
The “L” is for Layzie, “W” for Wish, “F” for Flesh, “K” for Krayzie, and “B” for Bizzy!
Ladies = Layzie
Want = Wish
Four = Flesh
Kids = Krayzie
By = Bizzy
(30)
“Ladies Want Four Kids By 30.” Say it a few times so you won’t forget.
Now that you’ve learned this helpful mnemonic, I’ll see you at Tha Crossroads! (So you won’t be lonely.)
