I took a break from my Proust and Faulkner today and read an article about Kim Kardashian.

At the Golden Globes, Ricky Gervais had some rather nasty observations directed at everyone’s favorite Kardashian, and Kim totally found out about it. Here are her statements via publicist, with a translation explaining the real situation.

“When she hears the names ‘Kim’ and ‘Kardashian’ together, she knows that the person is talking about her.”

“Kim knows Ricky Gervais’ barbs were all in good fun, and loves the attention.”

“Kim wonders what happens to all the little people inside the TV when you turn it off.”

“Kim’s aware of her larger than life personality and doesn’t take herself seriously.”

“Kim is famous for having a big butt.”
